Gestational Age:  35 Weeks

Hospital and City:  WHFC - All Saints, Racine

Albert weighed 5 pounds, 1.6 ounces but went home at 4 pounds, 10 ounces!  Today, Albert is a healthy sever year old.

Albert's mom said "By the grace of God, no NICU stay was needed.  We were given tours during the two weeks I was hospitalized for preeclampsia.  We were VERY well taken care of.  Though we did not require a NICU stay, a few close friends and families did.  I remember wanting so badly to be helpful to them but wasn't sure how.  I am looking forward to learning about what NICU families need and want during their stays.  I would love for my family to be able to help future preemies in some capacity."

Jay H

Gestational Age:  27 Weeks

Hospital and City:  WHFC - All Saints, Racine

Jay was due February 26, 2012.  Because of a placental abruption resulting in infection, he was born November 26, 2011.  He arrived exactly THIRTEEN weeks early and weighed only 2 pounds, 4.8 ounces at birth.

Jay spent the first 72 days of his life n the NICU at All Saints in Racine under the care of the most amazing nurses, doctors and staff we could have ever asked for.  Fortunately, Jay did not have any significant health setbacks, didn't require any surgeries and didn't suffer any brain bleeds.  He simply needed to grow...and learn to breathe and eat and regulate his temperature.  Today, Jay is a healthy, active boy.

We support Preemie Power of Wisconsin in honor of Jay and all of the little super heroes that fought so hard to be here with us.
