Q. Who can order a nicu support package?

Anybody wanting to support a Wisconsin Preemie NICU family.  A member of the Preemie NICU family, a family member, friend, a NICU staff member.  Use the "Contact Us" page to provide the family's name and NICU location (in Wisconsin only).  Either a PPOW board member will deliver a support package to the NICU (if the NICU is local to a board member) or a support package will be mailed directly to the family in the NICU.

Q. Can NICU support packages be sent to locations outside of Wisconsin nicus?

Not at this time.  PPOW's NICU support packages are designed to help new Wisconsin Preemie NICU families affected by prematurity through the transition of becoming a Preemie NICU family in the NICU.  We will only send care packages to NICUs in the state of Wisconsin.  Families that have been discharged are not eligible for support packages at this time however, there are other resources available for former NICU and Preemie families.  Please check our ONLINE RESOURCES page.

Q. Can I include a personal note in the support package?

Absolutely.  Preemie NICU families often need some words of encouragement.  We know those words are sometimes hard to find - especially when you have never had a baby n the NICU.  You are welcome to include a personal note.  A PPOW board member will provide a note of encouragement if none is requested.

Q. are all support packages the same?

PPOW's support package contents will vary based on what we have in stock (which is based LARGELY on donations).  We have boxes that are geared toward girls, toward boys and boxes that are gender neutral.  We will ALWAYS have our NICU "staples" on hand.

Q. is my donation tax deductible?

YES!  Preemie Power of Wisconsin (PPOW), Inc is a Federal tax deductible organization.  You will receive a receipt for your online donation in an email immediately.  If you are making a cash or check donation, you can request a receipt at the time of your donation.
